Earth Shaking Entertainment Pro Funny Car Results

After watching a Hurricane tear through the east coast for a week, Earth Shaking Entertainment really thought the September 2nd Night of Fire at Roxboro Dragway was going to be canceled. With a little hope and a track that really stepped up to the plate when most others threw in the towel, Roxboro decided to go on with the show. E.S.E brought 8 Alcohol Funny Cars upon Roxboro Dragway and the show was amazing! a six car Chicago style event that included Bunny Burkett, Billy Naves, Peter Osterio, Lance Vanhauen, Cecil Roberson and Tony Cannoy. We also had a back up team with Delbert White and then a best of 2 out of 3 rematch pitting "The Godfather" Charlie gambino in his alcohol funny car against Rich Hanna and his 1st strike jet funny car. Bunny opened the show vs Billy Naves and his Shooting star entry. (Bunny was driving just two days before her double misectomy, for breast cancer please keep her in your prayers). After Bunny's 1/8th mile burnout and Naves signature burnout and dry- hop Bunny ripped off an impressive 4.05 wich would be the fastest run of the night for the alcohol cars. There was a huge problem with a new "Traction Compound" that was used on the track for the 1st (and last) time. all cars shook like crazy but managed to put on a great show for the fans.Over all the show was a huge success. Everyone drove through some horrific tire shake to keep all cars running in the 4 second zone. The show itself was Awesome! Long burnouts, old-school dry-hops and theme music for every pair of competition. The final in the alcohol ranks put Bunny Burkett and Billy Naves at it again, with Naves taking out the former IHRA world champion with a wild 4.20 to her 4.32. Rich Hanna had a great night running 4.03 4.02 and a 3.98 @ 204 M.P.H in the final rd of his best of 3 match. Before we left Roxboro, we had already inked another deal for 2007. I want to personally thank the track and all my teams for making this one of the most enjoyable jobs I have ever had.
