September 1st, 2007 was a night to remember at Roxboro Dragway with the 2nd Annual EARTH SHAKING ENTERTAINMENT "Night Of Fire" which featured a 4 car Chicago style match race with 4 of the NASTIEST Alcohol Funny Cars on the East Coast... Then we had "The Godfather" Charlie Gambino in his 2001 Dodge Avenger Alcohol Funny Car go head to head with Rich Hanna and his 1st Strike 3 second Jet Funny Car!

Billy Naves got things started in the first round of competition when he rolled to the line in his 2001 Dodge Avenger "Shooting Star" Funny Car against new comer Delbert White and his 2000 Tire Tracks sponsored Firebird. The fans were on there feet after two NASTY Burnouts, and Naves RUMBLED down the track with an AMAZING 4.02 elapsed time at and incredible 180 M.P.H. Even more amazing was the fact that this was the very 1st run on this motor after working hard all week to put it together! This 4.02 would secure Naves a position in the 3rd and final round of competition and would end up being the quickest ET of the 4 car show down, but we had great racing still to come! The second round of competition would give us our other half of our Final round with Tony Cannoy "The Mad Scientist" out of Withville Virginia and his beautiful Navy Seals sponsored Pontiac Firebird ripping up the concrete with an incredible 4.11 at over 170 M.P.H giving him the win against the talented veteran of Monty Todd and his camaro who came all the way from Alabama.

"The Godfather" Charlie Gambino was giving Rich Hanna and the 1st strike a run for their money when he beat the quicker jet with a great holeshot running a THUNDEROUS 3.93!!!!! to a 3.91 of the jet. Hanna would tie it up in the second round nosing out Gambino who still ran a very impressive 3.91! the final round of competition between Gambino and Hanna put Hanna on top but Gambino did not go down without a fight. Being able to barely hold onto the steering wheel in the final round due to an injured wrist, Gambino gave the fans what they were looking for with a HUGE 1/8th mile burnout that kept the fans on their feet! I would like to thank "The Godfather" and his crew for an amazing performance.

The 3rd and final round of competition in the chicago style event put the veteran BILLY NAVES up against TONY CANNOY for what was surely going to be a great final. Both cars brought their A game with monsterous burnouts past half track. With the night getting late and track conditiond slipping away, both men had there hands full with nasty tire shake with both men giving it all, it was Tony Cannoy putting his team in the winners circle for the 2nd time in 2007 with a still impressive 4.22 even as his engine started to eat its self up in the lights!

I want to thank Allen Carpenter and Roxboro Dragway for having us at such a wonderful track, and I would like to thank my stable of Earth Shakers for another incredible show! With all the Glory going to God we look forward to the next Earth Shaking Entertainment SHOW at a track near you!
