E.S.E Results from Charlotte

E.S.E provided Exhibition Teams for the 2011 Div 2 race at Zmax Dragway in Concord, NC. We brought TWO Jet Locomotives, a Wheelstander and our 2006 Dodge Stratus Funny Car!

With Hurricane Irene swooping into coastal Carolinas, attendance and car count was a bit down, but that didn't keep the teams in attendance from putting on a great show for the fans that came out to show their support! KC Jones' Jet Locomotives were a fan favorite! These 6,000 pound thrust force trains ran SIDE BY SIDE mid six second passes at over two hundred miles per hour! Their starting line show is one of the best in the business and the fans were all stoked to see them!

Danny' O'Day and his World's FASTEST wheelstander made three strong passes throughout the weekend running the 34' Ford Coupe the length of the quarter mile on just the rear wheels at OVER 150 M.P.H!

Shooting Star Motorsports had a fun family weekend with our "CAR-GOYLE" 2006 Dodge Stratus Funny Car qualifying for the short field and running a couple consistant 1/8th mile times while we ran our match race tune-up. It ran a straight 4.04 on our first round of qualifying. Dad ran eventual event winner Melinda Green in round one LEAVING her on the starting line with an outstanding .051 reaction time! Melinda drove around us at the eighth and Dad clicked it saving the parts to play another day!

Thanks to Zmax for a great weekend of racing and thanks to all of my E.S.E teams for a succesful weekend! We hope to be back at next years divisional with even more fire and noise!
