E.G.T. probe ?

What are the common signs of a probe going bad . According to the racepak , #8 cyl. is going out as soon as the tires stop spinning and the eng. gets tugged down . It goes out for about .25 then comes back to life but it does not catch up to the others for almost 1.5 seconds . I cannot see anything come out of the pipes and the 60 foot times are not falling off at all . Tha cap is new , new plug wire , mag and box checked by leahy 4 runs ago . No signs of spark jumping out anywhere .

try switching it with another cylinder and see if the problem stays with the cylinder or follows the probe.
