Heitzman Looking for First Win of the Season

Dyno Dave Heitzman and the Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels A-fuel dragster Team will be in St. Louis this weekend for the Division 3 Lucas Oil Divisional Series event. It has been exactly one year from the time he first piloted the Top Alcohol Dragster and the Team is hoping to celebrate the anniversary by getting the Evan Knoll owned car in the winner’s circle.

“After Norwalk we stayed and tested. It was promising, the car ran better than it did during the event, but you don’t win races on Monday. We had a week off to go through everything and work on our combination and I am feeling good about the race this weekend,” said Dyno Dave.

The race marks the beginning of a busy 3 weeks for the Team. They are entering the first of a three race divisional swing that could prove to be pivotal in the divisional points chase. This weekend is particularly special for Dyno Dave who will be celebrating his birthday on Saturday.

“All I want for my birthday is to give Evan a Wally. And of course to celebrate it in the winner’s circle with all our Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels teammates. I couldn’t think of anything better; hopefully we will be able to make it all happen.”

Qualifying begins on Friday at 6 PM. On Saturday, they will get 2 more shots to make the 8-car field at 6 PM and 9 PM. Eliminations will start at 1 PM on Sunday following the opening ceremonies.
