In what seemed to be close to a repeat of his performance last weekend in Gainesville, Duane Shields in the Muscle Milk A/Fuel Dragster qualified well and lasted a couple of rounds in eliminations. Only this time it was at a Lucas Oil Divisional event at Virginia Motorsports Park in Richmond. Once again, Duane qualified well but this time ran a blistering 5.18 @ 278 MPH to qualify second.

In round one, Duane would race east coast competitor Tom Fox. Sadly for Fox, he ran into trouble right off of the starting line and that was it as Duane was on a strong pass and stopped the clock with a 5.18 at 277 MPH. This set up a showdown in the semis between Duane and recent JEGS All-Star winner Jackie Fricke. At the hit, it was Fricke out first while Duane smoked the tires and was never able to recover. Meanwhile, Fricke charged to the finish line and scored the win with a 5.18 at 276 MPH.

Next, the Muscle Milk team travels to Dallas for the AAA Texas Fall Nationals. Duane would like to continue to thank his marketing partners Muscle Milk, NGK, SRI, GRP, CleanBoost, and Brad Anderson Enterprises.
