Charlotte NC - The PEAK Team was brimming with confidence going into Charlotte after finishing in the late rounds much of the second half of the 2018 season. The weekend started out good at the NHRA Carolina Nationals as the PEAK Dragster’s first run out of the box was a blistering 5.24 at 278 MPH which was good for the top qualifier. The PEAK team would eventually ended up as the second seed going into eliminations.

In round one, Duane took on Canadian Shawn Cowie. Unfortunately for Duane, he lost traction and went up in smoke giving the win to Cowie who was long gone with a good 5.20 pass. “We were disappointed as we had a lot of confidence going into eliminations. On the last qualifying run, a body panel made contact with the sidewall of our tire and the decision was made to replace it. We believe that was the reason the car smoked the tires” Duane said.

The PEAK team now moves back to the west coast for the remainder of the season. “We will move on to our home track in Las Vegas and hope to do real well there” Duane said. The race team would like to thank PEAK Antifreeze and Motor Oil, Final Charge, Blue Def, NGK Spark Plugs, GRP Connecting Rods and Brad Anderson Enterprises.
