I have a rear pick up in my sump, and was thinking about installing another one, but in the centre.

The line to the single entry, external driven pump, would have both pick ups hooked into it.

Under acceleration the centre one could get momentary starvation, would this cause an air bubble to go through the oil system and possible bearing damage, like wise with the rear under braking?

If either gets air, the pump will not pump.

AJ is right your pump will pull from whatever line has the least resistance and that would be the uncovered one sucking air. Not good. Would work with a dry sump set up with more than a single stage.

Maybe you would like some of the circle track racers "swinging" oil pickups?
