That was the most extreme video of Don Fiorelli's crash I have seen yet and I was at the race! the show is ok too........

 

I thought the show was pretty cool. Force is a bug, though. It was kinda wierd seeing Ashley cry.

i know i may get trashed for this post but anyway, i have three girls and
a wonderful wife that i choose to live with. not once did i see force
greet his family with a hug and look into their eyes and say i love you,
although he did say you know i love you, that doesn't work for me
it is very important to me personally to be a good father and win at racing
you can do both. he is the man in fuel racing and i like and respect force
as a racer but as all knows it's all about money these days !!!

John Force

After watching the show and John's interaction with Laurie and the girls, it seems as though John cannot separate the business person he has become from the husband and father he wants to be.

John tries to manage his family the same way as his business. In one scene he says he is letting Ashley design her own trailer, but the next scene he is telling her on what to do.

He does not seem to be able to delegate or allow his family to express their opinions. When he does not like something he hears, he simply gets up and walks away.

Basically he steam rolls over everyone family and business.

Its no wonder he lives in a separate residence than Laurie and the girls.

 

I thought the show was great.

 

I thought it was a good show. Good enough to get programmed into the tivo.

It also made me look good as a father to my 4 kids. However, my wife thought the two house thing might be a good idea...still haven't figured that one out????

 

It would be better if viewed on an air plane-at least there would be a barf bag near by.

Kudos to David Ray for his 5 second cameo appearance in episode 1, holdin' the hardware.

 

I really didn't get it, how does that show help drag racing???

seems pretty low to show that and hurt the sport just for a buck. I know the old say'in, bad publicity is better than none, but come on, this is ridiculous.

Dang Scotty I missed the show, now I gotta get it on tape so I can give Dave a hard time, could you tell he was barefoot???

 

Nah, it was a chest-up shot. He had that good looking smile going on. I think the reason he was in was because he was standing next to Ashley up on the podium in G-ville, and they were focusing on her win. I tell you what, David was looking pretty cool in the lanes with his shorts and flip-flops on in Virginia. I thought he was going to drive the car that way, it was so hot.

 

I too agree with Guy about the relationship. I raised my two kids by myself and found time to have a relationship and start racing. But that's besides the point, I will Never watch that show again.

I am floored by the lack of care for Dan Fiorelli's well being after that race (on camera). I hope that I never go side by side with anyone who crashes, but God help me, if they do, I'll try to be the first over there to make sure they are okay, even if I'm not side by side with them. Not announce it to the world "Who cares about that guy" I'm sorry, but champion or no champion, what a lack of human compassion.

I have met and know so many great people at the track and to hear something like that really sadden's me that someone who could make a difference has such a lack of sensitivity to other's well being.

Well, this will probably come back and bite me you know where, but that's how I feel about what I saw in the rerun.

 

FC Girl, During the comotion that was going on John Force did tell either Jerry Darriean or someone ( he is ok, they said he is ok) I think he did have concearn for Don, but his and the families major concearn was for Ashley. The other thing we have to remember is we are seeing this after the magic of hollywood editing.

I saw Jerry's concern, and I respect your opinion. The last thing I have to say on this subject is, I personally, will never watch the show again based upon the editing of what I saw, and coming from within the entertainment industry, there could have been something different that would have been more effective for people who care about every driver, like Jerry showed, not just the ones that certain people choose for the so called "HOLLYWOOD ANGLE".

I watched the show and i liked it , not only for what John force said or did ,
It's a reality show with the biggest star of our sport , it's not important if we like or not his personnality or the way he raised his daughters . If a tv show like that was about a baseball star , i never look at it . And don't forget it' a tv show : 90 % thuth and the other 10 % for
the show.

Thank God for mom or those girls would be really screwed up. Doesn't he have another daughter Adra? I thought she was married to Hight?

 

Apparently the other daughter doesn't count. At least this far into the show- no mention of her at all. What I wonder- did the cameraman follow Force around till he yelled at the kids? It seems like that is all he ever does? Maybe that is the magic of editing- all the bad stuff and none of the good stuff. I have to agree with Nancy though, I am not sure it puts drag racers in the best of light.
