Will John Weaver return to his former ride now that the Meer deal went with another shoe?

I for one, hope so. I've been a Dream Weaver fan for a long time and would like to see them back. FWIW, it seemed like he ran better as the Dream Weaver than he ever did with the Meer team. I'm pretty sure (without checking statistics) that he won more.

Good luck and I hope to see you out there.

    Coastie,

John Weaver wont be returing to the family Dream Weaver ride as it is currently for sale. Its a shame that a driver of John's caliber and talent is without a ride coming off of one his best seasons ( Number 10 nationaly, second in D7 ) But business is business.

    I agree with you Frankie!

did you know that John's mom raced a Sand Drag Funny Car?

Her and John both won a Major event one time that she was telling me about a couple of years ago.

Very neat People!!!!! Always a pleasure to see them at the track!!

That's cool, I swear she told me a flopper though, because I made the comment that I didn't know they had those and she said they don't, Anymore.

But hey, if it was a monster truck, it's still Cool!!!!

    She's the neatest lady.

She did, in fact, drag race in the sand. I saw her run at Olympia, WA and a few other tracks.

Your both right, she drove both at one time or another. We were all part of the "Central California Sand Racers" association late 70's and 80's. The Weavers, Gordon family, The Johnson (Allen&Blake) family, Steve Faria, Danells (Top Fuel), D Hitchman, Gary Scelzi to name some off the top of my head.
    Great times..........Blessings.......Ron Clevenger.

John as of this point is rideless in 07. The family owned Dream Weaver racing operation is currently up for and has been for sale for a while. Mel and Mardel just dont have the extra funds to campaign the car anymore. Mel helped us most of last year on the Foolish Money TAFC.
