dragster fuel tank

does anyone make a poly dragster tank with a 1 1/4 out let apx 8 gl that can be use for a blown alcohol? or know any pros or cons to poly tank? thanks steve

 

Not sure if anyone makes a dragster style poly tank....but Bob Massey manufactured the 7 & 10 gallon poly fuel tanks that are used in a lot of Funny Cars - now sold by Tim McAmis.....they are just about indestructible. Here is a little safety story: Vern Moats had a friend that crashed a car that used one of these tanks - and it was totally crushed - but not split like an aluminum tank. He threw it up in his garage attic for a year or so and with the summer heat it came back to its original shape...pretty much usable...so as a safety issue, I like the poly tanks much better than aluminum if you can find one to fit a dragster.
