Division one in VA.

Word is that they gave away 40,000 tickets for the race... Heard that around 4:00 on Saturday, 8,000 people had come in the gate...

If it wasn't for the free ticket's they probably wouldn't have had 800 people come through the gate.

I've heard some advertising already for Maple Grove on the radio. Sounds like they are doing the car load deal again...

 

Worked well

NAPA and Virigina did a join promotion and gave out tickets. People started rolling in the gates in the morning and when we packed up after the final fans were still walking around. I t was nice to see them in the stands.

 

Maple Grove is indeed doing a $25 per carload promotion for their Divisional Event Memorial Day weekend. While it is $25 at the gate, the Reading paper had a free carload coupon in the paper this past Sunday and I assume will do the same this weekend.

Hopefully the weather is nice and the carload deal draws the people out to see 270 mpn Top Alcohol Dragsters and 260 mph Top Alcohol Funny Cars... There will also be fireworks after the finals...
