Div. 2 ?

    Whats with the one qualifying run?

    Did I miss something? Maybe they had a drivers meeting and deciced it would be easier but Oliverez didn't stage in qualifying and has to go home ( to Utah, not exactly close ) with only 10 points and 1 run. Sounds like there's a good reason why that division only has 5-6 cars on average. That can't be a happy team.

    They were rained out Saturday. The decision was made to let them have a run for qualifying.

    its not nhra's responsability to make sure someone is able to stage their car. if someone isn't in after the alloted qualifying runs , should nhra give them a extra try?

    i think with short fields in both classes, they elected to go with one shot sunday morning after the rainout. i don't know what the problem was, but you are required to break the beams, keep it off the wall and in your lane in order to qualify. you also must pass fuel check and weight. tough break for the team.

    I agree with Bruce. We sure could have used 2 qualifying passes.

    Was tough luck! the clutch linkage broke after the burn out, and Aaron couldnt back up... From all indications and I have not got the official word, but not being able to qualify kept him out of the All Stars. Which is why they did not go to Vegas.
