I have a 8 5/8 browell steel can and tried fitting a trick titanium can but the large studs in the engine plate are in different locations. Is there a difference between can manufacturers or funny car to pro mod cans?? I can make a new engine plate but the trick can fouls my funny car rails in two locations where the large stud ears are.

What you are referring to is "quadrant bolts" and yes different chassis builders use different locations. It is not a bellhousing mfg deal.

Also keep in mind there is a difference between a 6.2 and 6.3 bellhousing. The 6.2 is required in Top Alcohol for a clutch car. It has no starter pocket and has gussets/ribs welded in to give it external bracing. It also has the 3/4" quadrant studs. A 6.3 may or may not have a starter pocket, but usually does not have the extra bracing and usually has 1/2" quadrant studs.
