Was talking to a buddy that was at the recent Div.1 race. He said that they (NHRA) called a meeting before 1st rd of qualifying. The meeting was to address the NEW enrty fee being charged and the NEW penalty fee for oiling down their track.

Was this just BS or is this true?

All I know is that they did not charge any entry fees for TA/FC Teams. They said that the NHRA policy was not theirs. Brownman and the FNG's :D

There is a new oil down policy!!
simalar to the pro's but not as severe,i guess depending on how you look at it. i think there is a warning for the first and monetary fine and loss of run for the second and so on. not 100% sure but there was a paper distributed outlineing
    all the changes..

I wonder if this policy is for all Divisions or just Division 1.

Glad to hear that they were not charging for entries. Looks like the only Divisions charging are 5 and 7.

Charging for oil downs when you only get $600 or $700 to qualify is a little tuff. I guess if you oiled the track more than once in one weekend you NEED to get a wakeup call.

I can tell you that the Division One Director would love to see the alky cars canned at the points races.

So it would not surprise me at all if he created some sort of oil down policy strictly for division one races.
