Diana Harker to debut new family Top Alcohol Dragster at NHRA SuperNationals

Englishtown, NJ - For 26 year old, Diana Harker this weekend's United Association's NHRA SuperNationals to be held at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ not only holds great memories for the Aussie as she comes in as the defending event champion but will be Harker's first race on the NHRA tour for 2009.

Diana will be driving the family's brand new Spitzer Enterprises 490ci BAE Blown Top Alcohol Dragster. After a very successful rookie season behind the wheel of the Randy Meyer Racing A/Fuel Injected Nitro Dragster which included a win at this very race last season, Diana along with twin sister, Kate will share the driving duties of their blown dragster for the remaining 2009 season.

The twins' father Steve having made waves in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class this season will be making the tune-up calls on the dragster. Steve is the mastermind behind the concept and setup of this unique car as this is no ordinary Blown Top Alcohol Dragster. Essentially the team have taken a brand new 295inch A/Fuel Spitzer chassis and added one of their Alcohol Funny Car motors de-stroked to 490cubic inch motor.

"We made some test runs on Tuesday with promising results. Even though we are still getting a feel for the new clutch and car setup I believe there will be more encouraging results to follow, but time will tell." Said Steve

"Its been a long wait to get on track this year" says Diana "Both Kate and I are excited to finally get back out into competition and this time it will be even more special now we have mum and dad making the calls. We are a really close family and it's great to be able to work with our dad and learn more everyday about tuning these cars. Last year I had a fantastic time with Randy and his whole team and I've certainly brought with me a lot of the great advice he has given me. I just can not wait to get on track." Said Diana

With no set schedule at this stage, the Harker twins are certain though that after this weekend's race Kate will take over the driving for the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk OH June 25-28.
