To help promote their upcoming "Good To Go" national sales campaign, NAPA Legend Batteries stepped up to the primary sponsorship slot with Lombardo Racing, through the Seattle national event in August. With Lucas Oil's logo/battle shield on the hood and NAPA Pro Series Starters and Alternators prominently displayed, the team kicked off the mini tour with a fantastic Famoso outing.

Combining performance and consistency, Bob DeVour tuned the Hadman Monte Carlo to the #1 qualifying position, low e.t. and top speed of every session, new track records, and the event win. After a checkout pass in Thursday's test and tune, the NAPA Top Alcohol Funny Car made seven consecutive laps between 5.60 and 5.69. Each of the six right lane passes would have been good enough for low e.t. of the event. The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series points collected clinched the Jeg's All Star Honors, as well as the D7 points lead for Lombardo.

"It was an absolute pleasure to pilot the Good To Go/NAPA Pro Series Starters and Alternators funny car all weekend long. We've enjoyed running well, going rounds, and winning before-all of which I'm very thankful for. But the performance and consistency Bob, Dustin, Dolph, Mike, Ken, and Scott provided me and our sponsors last weekend was remarkable. The guys were in a zone, all I had to do was negotiate with the race track. Our team also enjoys support from Lucas Oil Products, NGK, NAPA Gold Filters, NAPA Belts and Hose, Adaptive One Brakes and Mechanix Wear. Thanks to all of our partners."

Upcoming Lombardo Racing events include two NAPA Store Displays, the LODRS event at Fallon, NV, then the Jeg's Allstars and Route 66 Nationals at Chicago. Complete team information is available at Lombardoracing.com.
