    Taylor Kicks Off 30th Season

ANAHEIM, CA — Dennis Taylor and his crew are labeling this the “We Gotta Have Fun 30th Anniversary Tour” by celebrating throughout the 2008 campaign. Taylor’s career has included driving stints in everything from an Econo Funny Car to a Top Fuel Dragster, along with several successful seasons in Top Alcohol Funny Car. Taylor noted, “We’ll certainly miss racing with Ora Vasquez this year, but he really didn’t want to commit to a full schedule. I still consider him family and look forward to seeing him at the races he decides to travel to. We had a great four years together and it’s too bad we didn’t form our alliance much earlier in my career. Ora is a certified tuning legend and our home is his home.”

This year, fans will notice the Plumbing Concepts car will carry its familiar striking paint scheme, though it’s been prepped by crew chief, Terry Morrow, with the latest Alan Johnson cylinder heads, T&D rocker arms, and significant fuel system changes. During an abbreviated pre-season test in Phoenix (with very challenging track conditions), Morrow’s new equipment showed promise on the short-time numbers and that gave Dennis some peace of mind. He feels the car is poised for performance and hopes the limited testing won’t hamper the learning curve as the season continues.

During the relatively short off-season, Taylor Motorsports Products has been running flat-out, re-certifying safety equipment for its numerous Pro and Sportsman customers, as well as producing its full line of racing safety products.

With the new season at hand, Plumbing Concepts crew members have added incentive to make this a year to remember. After all, a race car driver only gets the chance to celebrate his 30th anniversary once, so they all feel it’s time to “get after it!” They’ve also noticed Dennis is glad it’s time to go racing.
