Taylor Hopes to Tattoo the Competition

Anaheim, CA – Dennis Taylor continues to reach new marketing partners with his colorful K&N Filters / Plumbing Concepts Funny Car. For this weekend’s NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals, new associate sponsors include Iron Horse Tattoos, Aliante Station Casino & Hotel, and Desert Nissan, all located in the Las Vegas area.

Dennis noted, “I’ve been very busy working on the acquisition of my new line of firesuits, which will soon be made in-house at Taylor Motorsports Products, so our racing program has taken a back seat lately. However, our recent runner-up effort in Medford, Oregon, proved that we turned the corner with respect to our mid-year parts breakage issues. And since we’re not in a late-season points showdown, all we can really hope to do here and in Pomona is ruin someone else’s day. My crew chief, Terry Morrow, would like nothing better.”

A strong weather system blew through the West Coast earlier this week, bringing high winds and lower-than-normal temperatures to the region. Expected weather conditions for The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway include cold temps at night, daytime temps in the 60s through Friday, mid-70s for Saturday, and almost 80 on Sunday. So in spite of the high altitude conditions, tuners should welcome the cool temperatures they’ll have to deal with.

Taylor added, “NHRA Drag Racing is a good match for Iron Horse Tattoo, as fans and crew members alike are proud of their custom body art. Aliante Station Casino & Hotel is one of the newest properties in North Las Vegas, and for race fans, it’s only a short drive from the track. This complex features great rooms, gaming, six restaurants, live entertainment, and Regal Cinemas.” For Dennis, racing is a great diversion from his daily routine and if the planets are in alignment, he’ll have his day in the desert sun.
