Taylor Bolsters Program with New Associate

ANAHEIM, CA — Dennis Taylor and his Plumbing Concepts crew will return to the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with additional assistance from an important new marketing partner. Renton Coil Spring has joined forces with Dennis to provide technology and development of its respected line of top-quality titanium valve springs. Located in Renton, Washington, RCS serves the auto racing, motorcycle, mountain bike, and snowmobile industries with applications ranging from valve springs to Formula1 suspensions. And due to its location when opened in 1949, RCS also developed a strong foothold in the aviation and aerospace industries, which continue as important relationships today.

During a recent conversation, Morrow said the Plumbing Concepts car had become too aggressive on the starting line. That’s been evident in the team’s all-important 60-foot times, with some leading the category. Morrow intends to calm that down, so as to slow the wheel speed initially, and apply it more gradually throughout the first 660 feet and on through high gear.

As usual, the Summitracing.com Nationals in Las Vegas looks to be a veritable dogfight in Top Alcohol Funny Car, as more than 25 quality cars are pre-entered. Forecasters are calling for temperatures in the low-to-mid 80s.
