VIPsports.com TAFC to Race at Indianapolis

Milford, Michigan. The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series season-opening race for Division 3 takes place April 21 – 23 at Indianapolis Raceway Park, Clermont, Indiana. Originally scheduled for the same weekend the VIPsports.com team competed in Las Vegas, Nevada, the new date provides an unexpected early season race opportunity.

Frank Parker, team owner, said of the schedule change, “We were looking forward to some time off, after four straight race weekends. But, the chance to fit in another race is too good to pass up. We’ve won several times at Indy, including the U.S. Nationals, so it’s a good track for us.” The team will go to Indianapolis in fine standing. After four races, including a divisional win, the Mopar Hemi-powered Dodge Stratus is third in national TAFC points, second in Division 3 Jeg’s All Stars and tied for first in Division 3.

Qualifying for the VIPsports.com car is at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 21 and again on Saturday, April 22, at 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Top Alcohol eliminations begin at 12:00 pm, Sunday, April 23. For more information on the track, and its weekend schedule, visit www.irponline.com or call 317-291-4090.
