CS2 from 3 speed to 4

I have a big shaft cs2 i would like to make it from a 3 speed to a four speed it has a 189 1st and i would like to have a 210 what parts do i need other than a case and gear set input shaft are there different lenghts or anything i might need to look for thanks

 

You just need the parts that are inside the intermediate case.Pretty straight forward.
make sure you check what spline your ring gear and gear set is and when you buy your new inter shaft and gear set make sure its the same spline as two different splines are available for the CS2.The easiest way to know what spline you have is to check your input shaft.The 2 types of splines are 35/32 Large and 32/27 small.
You mention you have 1.89 at moment and want to get 2.10...as a 4 speed.
The closest you can get without changing one of your existing gear sets is to use a compound gear set 1.16%.This will give you 2.19 First.If u need a taller First gear then youll have to change one of your existing sets.These compound gear sets have two problems,Firstly they are more expensive,and then they measure Longer than a normal gear set as have 6 planet gears instead of 3.(The compound planet set has double planet gears in it.)You will need a longer intermediate shaft and a case spacer.There was one of these 1.16% gears on here for sale not long ago and is in good cond but was a little too expensive for me for my own gear box.do a search and you should find it in the for sale section.
If you have any internal parts left over or find any that you arent buying please let me know
as im converting from 3 speed to 5 speed at the moment and are going small spline.
