Dave at Marine Crank welds them back in shape with tooled steel, reheat treats and nitrites. You never need to chrome again. He does an excellent job for an excellent price. The guys at Sonny Bryants recommend him.

We had an issue with a fuel line and hammered the bearings big time on a crank journal he repaired for me. It was the ultimate test for one of his repairs on a newer crank of mine. The crank looked and still looks absolutely perfect. And there is never a worry about peeling/flaking chrome...because there isn't any. Which means you can mag the crank and still find new cracks rather than worring about them being hidden under chrome. We've run 5.50's with cranks he's repaired.

    Contact Dave Eden at 949-222-9006.

    Crank Repair

Funny to see this thread, I was just today trying to find out about a crankshaft guy who used to be in the San Antonio area by the name of Paul Savadin. Last time I heard anything about him he had written a couple of articles in Engine Rebuilder magazine around 2001 or so. He did quite a bit of work for several of the top fuel teams back when they weren't so big corporate. Anybody out there know anything about him now?

    Crank repair

"uncle" Henry Velasco did an excellent weld up repair for me awhile back. Definitely a job that was worth recommending his services.

Awesome guy, one hell of a drag racing history picture wall in his office, and a pretty impressive hydroplane operation (RC).
