Crankshaft repair

    I have a BBC Lunati crank that spun a bearing, called Lunati to send back for repair and was told they dont repair them anymore, any suggestions? Thanks

    Crank Repair

    We have a guy here in Sacramento, Ca. that does excellent crank repair, he worked at Chromecraft here for many years, I used to take my stuff down there and there would be cranks from all over the U.S.. Amato, Force, Bernstein, the work was being done by Butch Stamos who opened his own shop 2 yrs. ago, does it all and does beautiful work.     Probably the best in the business would be "Marine Crankshaft Inc" www.marinecrankshaftinc.com 949-222-9006. There in Irvine, Calif (South LA area). On there website click on the drag race site.

    Marine Crankshaft Specialists in California does the best repairs that I have seen and they hold as good as new. I apologize but do not have Dave's number with me.


    I guess I should read all the posts before replying.......someone else posted that info above.

    There is no one better than...

    David Eden at Marine Crankshaft

    He does NOT weld and then chrome the cranks. He repairs them by welding in stages with tooled steel and then reheat treats. We've run his repairs through the mill and never have any issues. Tooled steel welds won't peel or flake, in most cases can be mag'd and his work is to perfection.

    When you send a Sonny Bryant crank back for repair, Bryant doesn't do the repair work. It goes out to the aforementioned Marine Crankshaft. What better reccomendation do you need than that?

    Joe Squires at Sonny's sent me to Marine Crank a while back and that's how I met David Eden.
