    Hi to all,
Today I removed the sleeves from my Stage 3 KB and found a few cracks in the webbing between the sleeves on both the top and bottom. However on the bottom the crack only goes as far as were the sleeve o-ring rest and the main webbing shows no visual signs of cracks. My question is since I run this block dry can I use it as is or do I need to go through the expense of having it repaired? If I can use it as is how do I prevent the crack on the bottom from growing any futher? All answers are appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Joe

this was a common thing for the stage III water blocks
i believe the cure was to weld extra plates betweem the clys to keep them from balloning ( for a lack of a better description)
It has been many years ago since I used a stage III block but i do remember the extra plates in there

    Thanks John

    John,
Thanks for your reply I appreciate the information. Do you remember if adding the braces is enough to stop the cracks or do you recommend welding the cracks, adding the braces and remachining the weld area? All recommendations welcome. How much can I push it if I do nothing?
    Thanks,
    Joe
