Covering steel to carbon front brake problem

    so if you have steel brake on the front of your car already. Can you just buy the rotor and pads to change it over ? Strange says no but when you look at the 2 kits there just about identical , single piston calipers , square pads, 10.5 or 11 inch rotors.
    What are we talking a black caliper?
    They said the rear wouldn't work but it does. Just fine.
    I want to know if anyone has tried this or have some clarity before I try and buy this setup. Thanks jay

    Don't know the answer but was wondering the same thing. Not converting to carbon on the front yet, but might down the road...

    Yeah i can't believe no one has done this or answered the thread. I've done some research and a friend just did this. He had both kits. The brackets , calipers are identical. The rotor , spacing , pads are identical. So basically I just ordered pads, hats and rotors. Your gonna need the ti shield to protect the piston as well but I have lots laying around to make my own. I'll keep this posted to when I do it if I run into any problems.
