Couldn't sell the darn thing so

I will just have to race it this year. We will run some dates with the Southern Fuel Coups and do a IHRA and NHRA race or two. See you guys out there soon. 80's and sunny can't come soon enough.

Yet having said that, the NHRA would not allow our request for a spot at the Gatornationals this year. They said that our grading points were dated and would not allow us to compete .
Strange operation , turn the clowns and elephants away from the "Circus" and nickel and dime the patrons to pay for the class shortfalls ?? but it is "The Greatest Show on Earth" The Pro Mods don't have any grading points either but they get by with out paying their dues at the divisionals.

What you did and didn't read into the comments is not my worry, the point I made is that there is a true and sincere displeasure with the direction that NHRA is going with the "ALKY" ranks. I understand from the other participants that comment on here that they also are somewhat unimpressed with the current situation. It is not the sanctioning body that I dislike it is the misguided direction that we all seem to be complaining about! I want more than you do, to see the damage control and mass money grab to stop and for us all to help excel the "ALKY" ranks to the competition levels and appeal that was once very apparent, even to the non alkyfan!

Les- Your right I didn't read any worry in your post, or any of your posts for that matter! And who are you to say what it is that I want and don't want? Most of your posts on this board have a common theme to them, and that is you have a dislike for NHRA, and love IHRA (which is fine). You say that you want to help the alky ranks excel but even in your own post you said that you didn't have enough grade points to attend a National (Money event). Doesn't that actually prove that you do just the opposite? You want to run for the money events (Nationals) but do not race at the divisional events and support the sanctioning body that provides the money events(Nationals). Please don't tell me that your out there to help excel the alky ranks when you won't even run your car in the biggest drag racing sanctioning bodies lower money events(divisionals), and yet you have no problem getting upset when they won't allow you to race at nationals. Oh and by the way, the other participants complaints about NHRA have been focused on the recent charges to race. Doesn't IHRA charge you guys to race? I have read your posts and most of them, including the one that I commented on, have nothing but negativity in them, not alky promotion. But hay, I'll go back to my comic strip now and since I have no identity it should't matter what I have to say.

WE ARE trying to make it to therock Nick,the cars ready now,we finaly got a mag 44 LOL..AND HAVE SOME STRAIGHT BORES.HAHA, WE ARE IN GREAT SHAPE PARTS WISE, no money to travel,you no the deal nick 2 days before, LETS GO RIGHT!!

Hey ALKY FAN,
I don't think from the sound of your posts that you are a fan at all!!!
Spend some of your momey, get your hands dirty working the many hours it takes to run and maintain one of these cars and then just maybe you might have some understanding of the problems involved and the how the decesion or non decesion on rules by both sanction bodies effects these teams. Until then fell free to critisize the warriors in the arena as it costs you nothing.

 

If you only knew ...By the way, how does me pointing out that somone is continually bashing NHRA and promoting IHRA make me a non fan? I guess I'll keep my opinions to myself, sorry to have angered anyone out there. All I was trying to point out is that there isn't a need to bash a sanctioning body when you don't even compete in it. But I guess that makes me a non alky fan.

 

Take it easy guys,both Sac bodies treat us with respect when were there,Division 1 is always accomadating to us. we only run Etown and Maple grove Nat's and the are always nice.and i mean the employess like Pokey and others...
