Caught wind there were a few cars....well one at least TAFC that was taken in for inspection at Indy this weekend? Wondering what the outcome, reason and why only one car? If they are going to start this it should be a randem thing for all do you not all agree much like the drug and alcohol testing they do when they feel like the last little while? Whether a car is running well or not it should be something all should have to take into consideration before attemping to bend the rules as I dont feel in this case it was fair ALL OF A SUDDEN!!

My car was looked at, I don't know about confiscated. They pulled two TAFC's and two TAD's in for inspection. They were looking for abnormalities in electronics from what I could tell. Nothing was found on any of the cars and I believe it's a good thing to keep people on the up and up. At the same time it familiarizes NHRA with what is currently on these cars as technology is changing month to month.

    tech

Two TAD's and two TAFCs were pulled into the tech barn after q4 in Indy after the run. They had an official waiting for the car at the turn off and stayed with the car until it was in the barn. The cars were Chris Foster, Annie Whiteley, Booher and Rich McPhillips.

The bodies were removed, tinwork, and we were only allowed to turn power, air off and download the computer if we liked.

They also looked everything else on the car over to make sure everything was within the confines of the rulebook.

We've had it happen to us before. Nothing new. I was happy to let them take all the time they needed.

I agree with rules enforcement. However, I think 90% of the rules just need to "go away". It is time to make TA/FC healthy.

    lol.. Pretty bold statement..

There is something to be said for rules too, but I don't think either way you look at it makes it healthy.

ADRL's Pro Extreme class is evidence that no rules lead to the same direction as rules for everything.
