connecting rod small end size

I was wondering if you guys monitor the small end size of the rod for wear as a precaution for rod failure.

If so , what will be the max expansion of the clearance that you would run a rod before replacing it. Would you run a rod whose small end has .0015 more clearance than new?

When In Doubt Throw It Out.im Pretty Sure A New Rod Is About .0008 Clearance So You Have About Twice That.rods Are Expensive But A Whole Lot Cheaper Than The Alternative.besides That They Always Seem To Break When Your On A Career Best Pass
