Dan Kracht and Randy Meyer Racing Score
2009 NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster Division Five Championship

Overland Park, KS – For rookie driver Dan Kracht, 2009 was one of those dream seasons that every driver dreams about. Winning his fist event at the LODRS Division Five race in Brainerd, MN at the start of the season, Kracht drove the Randy Meyer Racing A/Fuel Dragster to the 2009 Top Alcohol Dragster Division Five Championship title. Kracht and the Meyer Racing Team were on hand at the NHRA Division Five ‘High and Mighty’ Banquet held at the Marriott in Overland Park, KS on January 16th to not only receive their award but to congratulate team member Ted Lake on receiving the prestigious 2009 Pro Mechanic of the Year Award.
Having only ever competed at a limited number of super comp events, Kracht stepped behind the wheel of the Randy Meyer Racing A/Fuel dragster at the start of 2009 like he’d been raised in the sport. Wheeling his way to two LODRS final rounds and one national event final round, Kracht with the guidance of Randy Meyer certainly proved he was truly no rookie at the wheel of a 270mph dragster.
Another highlight of the ‘High and Mighty’ Banquet was Kracht’s team member and Assistant Crew Chief, Ted Lake being honored by the NHRA Division Five community with the 2009 Pro Mechanic of the Year Award. Lake accepted the award for his hard work, commitment and dedication to the sport.
Looking back on 2009, team owner Randy Meyer has a lot to be thankful for, great sponsor support and a dedicated team that has been at his side for the best part of seven years. For Meyer, this is his 4th Division Five Championship and first title as Team Owner and Crew Chief and with this momentum going into 2010 the Randy Meyer Racing Team is sure to be a force to reckon with.
Many thanks to Lucas Oil, Solder Seal Gunk, Aeorquip, ARP, Hedman Hedders, Taylor Cable, Fram, Autolite, Clevite, and Goodyear for their continued support throughout 2009 and into 2010.
