Nice Job this past weekend, and nice run to set the track ET record in the final. We’ll have to wait until I come back next year to meet you another final!
As we spoke, let me also repeat that I hope there are no hard feelings. I hope you realize how much we respect you as a driver and tuner and value your friendship and advice. We have made so many friends in this sport over the years and value the competition and fun we have. We of course want to beat you on the track, but running the best brings out the best in us, and we hope to someday be half as successful as you have been.
It is a shame that the unprofessional online comments by one ignorant crewmember made your family feel the way they did. Believe me, the comments of that one person on any of these sites in no way whatsoever reflect the opinions of me or the rest of our team. He is just a parts changer, with apparently way too much free time spent running his fingers over a keyboard making sarcastic and unprofessional comments about everything and everyone.
I do not really read much online, and have only posted once or twice, but I do not want the negative opinions of one person to reflect on the rest of our team or ruin friendships we have built over the years. That person does not speak for me. Regardless of any issues people have with this class, we all still do it because we love it. If the time comes for change, so be it, but for now we all enjoy running the combinations we run and that’s how it should be. Please give Marion our apologies too and I hope you are not still angry.
