i would use a solid copper gasket with o-rings in the head and a receiver groove in the sleeve. we use a thin coat of Copper-Coat by Permatex on both sides of gasket, seems to work really well for us. hope this helps

I had them (Cometic's) on a 4.560 bore BBC making 28 lbs of boost and they failed between the cylinders. Heads and block were flat. I then got the ICS intergrated steel o-ring copper gaskets. These gaskets pushed out and I torched a head. The gaskets looked like cookie dough being spread out with a rolling pin. The holes around the head studs were oblonged (kinda like pulling taffy). I went with them as I was in a hurry, was going to make less than 30 lbs. boost and didn't want to take the engine apart and wait for the maching shop to get to the heads and block (costly mistake). I now have receiver grooves and o-rings. 38 lbs and they are sealed up perfect. When I called them they wouldn't even give me a discount on a regular copper headgasket to replace them.

I dont have any answers for anyone just more questions, I was goin to put up a new post on the Cometic gaskets but seen this one. I'm building a low boost 572" mopar wedge and was hoping to use them, just wandering if anyone has had any experence with these gaskets. I'm running 11.5 to 1 and somewhere around 15 lbs of boost.

    o-ring

i'd highly recommend an o-ringed block/head combo with copper gaskets with any significant amount of boost. a screw blower is completely out of the question. absolutely, positively will not work.

Most likely you'll never be satisfied with running 15 psi boost and will want more sooner or later. Do yourself a favor and do the O ring and receiver groove now. It will save you time and money in the long run.
