    CO 2 Refills

Check around your area and see if there are any paint ball places, They fill the small co2 bottles ,they have the scales to weight them, they will need an adapter to fill your bottle as it is different then a paint ball gun tank. OR some people fill them with nitrous to.

go to the welding or gas suppler
get a co2 bottle like they use for soda fountains and beer
have them put a siphon tube in it
this way it always fills your bottle with liquid not gas
then you can fill your own as you need it
get yourself a scale to measure the tank before and after so you dont blow the burst panel in the valve out
just a short line from tank to tank and you're in business

If you don't have siphon tube you can use bottle upside down, and don't leave your filled bottles out in the sun.

Nitrous will work but NHRA thinks that you should not have a bottle of nitrous on the car for any reason. Rumor is they have been burnt on this before :D:D

    Co2

Maybe you should lose the 8 oz bottles...You'll be filling them all the time...I went to my local paintball store and got a 20 oz bottle for $29....all certified etc., I replaced the brass fitting with a standard acetylene tank top for $60 so I'm into it for $90...The combination is a tad more than a 10 oz bottle, but you have 2x the volume and 1/2 the trips to refill it...Just sayin'

I just went to a local paint ball place and got a complete fill station, hoses, valve block, the works for $150 bucks. Just have to get a bult tank from the welding suppy store (with a dip tube) and a scale, this fill rig threads onto the bulk tank and has a hose/valve system to fill the small bottles. Really nice deal. I could have got all the fittings for a little less but this was all prefabbed, has a real nice aluminum manifold etc. I'm sure any paint ball place will have these. Its made by a company called Ninja Paintball.

    Hope this helps

Make sure the idiots at the fire suppresson place check pressures when filling, had one done last week, I knew I was in trouble when he said he filled it three times.
Made it about a block away and the 3000 psi pressure disk popped.

liquid CO2 is filled by weight not pressure
    use scales to measure
    weigh bottle empty
    then weigh as you fill
bottle should be marked for capacity

Use a N20 filter when transferring CO from a bulk source to the tank for your car.
Filters liquid at extreme cold temperatures and keeps debris out of your system.
