i neeed to know about how much weight do i need to start with on each finger. it is a crower glide 6 finger clutch in a dragster with a 526 kb, 14-71hh. this is a new combo for a first time driver(my daughter) so im trying to make it as driveable as possible. i dont plan on turning 10 grand right out the box , also how much air gap. thanks...kipp

Dark Blue Springs 2 1/2 turns
1in long 5/16 steel fine tread bolt on each finger
1 steel full nut on each finger
.045 pack clearance. the more pack clearance you have the quicker the clutch locks up, because the fingers are out farther on the radius when you have more clearance, contrary to popular belief.

This is a starting point, when you stage bring the motor up till its pulling the car slightly, Then when she sees the amber filament start to glow mash the gas. :D ;)
