clutch spring pressures

We are runnining a Crower 10.7 three disc clutch. Was wondering if anyone could tell me a way to check spring pressures to see if they are good or not?

 

Spring Pressure

Check them the same way you check a valve spring. X amount of pressure at X height. Look on the back page of the book that came with the clutch to see what spring your clutch has and it will give you the height and pressure specs.

There are three different color springs, each with it's own set of specs. The color depends on the application, but most come “black”, which is the strongest. The differences in the springs also dictate how much pressure is applied on the base setting given X numbers of turns.
After running the springs for a while, it’s hard to tell what color you have with all the clutch dust. If you can tell the color let me know and I will look up the spec for you. Don't know for sure, but the specs may be on Crowers web site, or you can call them and they should be able to tell you what you have.
PS: Crower may be able to fax or email you the booklet with all the set up info and spec.

 

Looked at the clutch springs today, they have a yellow striped paint mark, i talked to molinari today , hes's going to send me a book. Dont know when ill get it if its not too much trouble could you send me the info on that spring, would like to check everything out tomorrow. thanks for all your help

 

I'am out of town all week, won't be back to the race shop until Saturday. Maybe someone else here can check their book and send you the spring specs.
