What is the best to use in a Pro Comp Altered (900-1000 Lbs, 2000+ hp), 2 or 3 disk clutch.
We has the option(parts) to run either and heard that there can be problems with a 3 disk combo

TAD have been using 3 disk for since the beginning of the class-and the weight is close usually around 2100lbs. Power in the start 1800-now close to4000

What would be the issue with 3 disk? The only issue I could think of would be space in the bellhousing if you had to run a short bell? You can cheat the dual up to about 3,000 with bronze floaters and such but in my opinion the upper end of that becomes more of a compromise than anything else. A 3 disk is would be more consistent and tuneable.
