Clutch Gloves

    Where can i get the heavy gloves folks use for handling hot clutch can

    I, and I'm sure I'm not alone, usually use extra length welding gloves. Farm supply stores, welding supply places.. Usually if you're in a place that sells Carhartt's, you can find them. lol

    These are just like a -20 glove. Our clutch guy has a pair in the tool boxes on each side of the car. Problem with welding gloves is most are made of leather. It takes a while for leather to get hot but also takes just as long to get cooled off. So if it gets hot with the part still in your hand you can't get the part set down and that glove off fast enough.
