Larger clutches are typically more forgiving and can take more abuse while still maintaining performance. Smaller clutches can potenitally be faster just from a smaller moment of inertia standpoint, less parasitic loss to turn, but TAFC's tend to make enough power that I don't know that it necessarily cares what is hanging on the crank, just as long as it stays centered/balanced.

Smaller diameter clutch takes more plate load to do the same amount of work, which essentially means more static pressure and counterweight. This can create trouble for some folks while staging and being able to keep the pedal down.

10.7 is definitely more common among TAFCs, but I have seen the 10 inch also work pretty well in years past. Not sure about recent years other than the onslaught of the Leanders 11" that seems to pair pretty well with the latest and greatest motors.
