Go to my facebook page Ron Griffis 'ICW Race Cars for photos. I installed a steel safety cable [plastic coated] looped thru the chute hold downs that attaches itself to the upper rear-end chassis mounts, using 1/2" bolts, after our tire blow-up incident at Rockingham this past May. In the initial construction of the chassis, the chute bracket is mounted to the top of the rear housing, also using 1/2" bolts. I use two struts that are bolted to the chute housing bracket as an anti-rotation device that pivots on the rear cross bar. Same on the lower containment. After observing the Schumacher mishap in Memphis a few years ago, I also added three cables that wrap around the wing for chute activation, [that is now mandatory] two in the middle, one on the right outside, because the right tire always blows. I hope this can help someone..
If you can't get on my facebook, e-mail at innovativeracecars@msn.com I would be glad to send you some pics..
