NHRA defers parachute launcher for TAFC in 2006

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    11/16/2005

For 2006, the NHRA Technical department has deferred the implementation of the requirement that a parachute must be assisted by a launcher system for Top Alcohol Funny Car. NHRA will work closely with the Top Alcohol Funny Car teams in developing procedures to insure that all current parachute systems are functional and in good operating condition as intended by the manufacturer.

    Will,

So I take that to mean that they changed their mind and we don't need to change anything?

    chute launchers

I was at diest today, and they have launchers. You don't even have to modify the body like with the Stroud shoots. Also, I'm using Simpson chutes, they said it's no problem to set them up in Their launcher.

    Take care all,
