Cheeseman Hoping to Repeat In Indy

In his only race last year, Chuck Cheeseman put together a winning performance. This year, with backing from Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels, Chuck and the Team are back in full force and they are hoping to get their car in the O’Reilly Raceway Park winner’s circle for the second straight year.

“We have had a few weeks off since the Norwalk National event and we are excited to get back out on the race track. The competition in this division is tougher than ever and you have come out here with everything you have just to qualify for the field, not to mention what it takes to get in the winner’s circle at the end of the weekend,” said Cheeseman.

After putting up some good numbers during the Thursday test session, the 5-time Division 3 champions feel like they are ready to go up against the best Division 3 has to offer. In their last divisional event in Joliet, the Team earned their first final round appearance of the year. This weekend they are looking to take it one step further.

“I can’t thank Evan Knoll and Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels enough for all their support this year. Without their support there is no way we would be out here competing again. At the last divisional we came close to getting our first Wally of the season; maybe this weekend we will be able to seal the deal.”

Qualifying for the event will begin on Friday at 4 PM. On Saturday, they will get 2 more chances to make the 8-car field at 1 PM and 4:30 PM. Final eliminations begin at noon on Sunday and continue throughout the day. For up to date coverage of the event please log onto www.dragracecentral.com.
