Demke Ready For All Star Saturday



Joliet, Ill- Chris Demke and the Jerry Maddern Racing Peen-Rite Alcohol Dragster team believe they have more than a punchers chance to claim the Jeg’s All Star Top Alcohol Dragster championship tomorrow at Route 66 raceway in Joliet, Ill.

“This event is a huge deal to this team and has been for several years” said Demke, who will proudly fly the colors of the Pacific Division 7 tomorrow. “We have a nice clean white trailer and the only stickers on it are our Jeg’s All Star qualifier stickers from previous years. We’d like to add one more tomorrow- one which say’s All Star Winner.”

The eliminations ladder was based off qualifying runs today for the United Association Route 66 Nationals. The Sunland, CA based team ran a solid 5.319 second elapsed time in the last session of the day, to place them third in the Jeg’s All Star ladder. The Peen-Rite Blown Alcohol team will match up versus Division Six hitter Joey Severance in the first round.

“In a race like this, you have to take it one round at a time,” stated Demke who is competing in his third All Star‘s event. “We will take nobody lightly. Anyone in this field can win it tomorrow- we just hope it’s the D-7 car.”

Demke and his Jerry Maddern lead team are very honored to be a part of this unique event. “The people at Jeg’s are awesome and we would like to thank them for not only putting on this special event, but for all they do for the sportsman racers,” said Demke. “They make us feel like we are true All Stars.”

Other round one matches include; Michael Manners versus Brandon Pierce, Bill Reichert against Edward Schmeeckle and John Finke taking on Bill Evans.

Eliminations for the Jeg’s All Star Championship will begin Saturday morning at 10:00 am.
