I asked this question last year and the majority of the responses were LPS3. I scotchbrited a piece of tubing, wiped it with LPS3 and left it outside for the winter. The tube did not rust. I would recommend it to anyone.

Herb, we get ours from MSC. It's around $7 a can from them. I works very well.

Boeshield t-9 is an aircraft product that is very high quality. It is a great product for protecting steel. That is what it was developed for. I reccommend it also. I have used it for years on racecars.

I use prolong engine treatment and it works great, just don't try to drill a hole with it or weld after using it, it seems to actually penetrate into the moly
