I purchased the jig that my 125" car was built on...T & C Chassis. I'm starting to bend and tack a few tubes and want to improve things along the way....so I will probably have many questions for the experienced builder here.....so here is my first: Rear burn down tube nipples that weld to the back of the hoop - on my original car they are on 10.375" centers (just outside the roll bar mounting centers of 6"). Is there any advantage to moving them inside the roll bar centers-to approx 4" apart? Is there any issues with flow if they are close together or 10" apart? I would like to move them in just to gain room to mount other stuff in the future but thought that I should ask - is turbulence an issue here if they are too close together? Please advise....any standard here or put where they look good?

I put mine where they make the most sense (if that makes any sense). The only thing I do not do is put them directly in line with the cage up rights.

I put them just where your talking about. Just be sure if your hoop is spliced and has rosetts for the inner, make sure you don't cover these up! Have fun

Thanks for all of the help....yup...it's from Tom & Chris Hunt....and I ordered the hoop from M/W - mandrel bent .065" - 20 11/16" inside and it fit perfectly....so no spice needed at the rear....I figure the reason the burn down barbs were so far apart is that my current car has the splice and they wanted to be outside the sleeve area....
