cant remove snout

    just picked up a 10/71 and i cant remove the snout. ive tried slide hammer {gently} moved it about eight inch and thats it .need help thanks jim

    Remove the front cover assy .

    i got it theres a freeze plug in snout shaft just pop it out and i was able to push off of gear bolt with puller came right off .
