I bought a BAE 456 stage 5 engine intake to pan, formerly used with a screw , NHRA TAD
    I'll run it with a roots 14-71 HH , 3 speed , with convertor set-up
is it better to change camshaft to get the best of this new combo
    The cam is : .505 cam lift , 296 deg at .050

    Thanks

    Claude

I think it would run OK, but talk to the camshaft experts at Crane or Erson, and they can set you up for your combination. Personally, with that size of motor, I would make sure you bring the compression up to at least 11.2, then go with an R296-500-16, or a R296-4778-14. They seem to work pretty well.
