Is there anyone out there that can repair a camshaft .We broke a crosslink and turn a lifter and put a gouge in one of the lobes.
We finished the season with it but want to see if it can be repaired.
    Thanks in advance Gary

We have tig welded some minor dings, then dressed them by hand, and has worked.

The only problem with repairing a cam is they usually go to a smaller base circle when they regrind it on that lobe. Maybe in a TD application where you're not pushing it real hard it may not be an issue but in a heads up application I'm not a fan of it. You spend money to get better valve train stability with bigger cams, better rockers, etc., then it goes against all that to go back to a smaller lobe.
