Cam Question

Cam Question-Who's Grind?

I need help identifying a cam I got with a short block I bought(was told R296)
The markings on the back of it are

E21179
669616
98G1A HR

What I know is
It came out of a KB Stage 8 raised/big journal
It is a Crane blank
It is not a Crane Grind-Thanks Chase
It is not an Erson

Doesn't appear to be a Crane finished grind, either. Regards, Chase

 

Somebody out there must have had one ground from this company...

 

You might have to have someone Cam Dr. the cam to know what you have. Or you could setup your dial indicator and degree wheel and "map/graph" it out the old fashion way. Kind of depends on what you're trying to get to in the end.

 

Where did you get the shortblock, Randy. Could the cam be from oregon cam company. AAA used them alot.

It's a comp. I have 2 comp cams for pontiacs here and they both start with E, and the hr is on 1 of them too.
