Do you need the whole frame for the burst panel or can you just buy the outer frame and bolt it to the manifold, with the panel in between the outer frame and manifold?

    Thanks guys!

    It depends on the manifold.

Some are machined with a center bar, with a threaded screw hole for the buttonhead allen to back up the panel, and some of the others only have the rectangle hole that needs the back burst panel plate.

Okay, so the frame with the cross bars actually supports the panel? Does it touch the panel or just keep it from flexing in and out?

Never ran a burst panel before just had the spring loaded ones.... Its new to us

    Thanks,
    Bob

Yes its for deflection you put a button head in and get the head close and use a blob of silicon and your done because everytime you let out it flexes...Dave
