As I understand how the NHRA points work, a driver can get points at his best 5 of 8 divisional and 10 national races.

I think Bucky has won all 4 div. 6 races this year ( with 2 more to go), so should have a perfect year on divisionals.

He has 1 national win, but will be a favorite at Seattle and Sonoma (and probably Pomona 2 as well).

If Bucky does well at the 2 midwest races (Indy and Joliet 2, Jegs All Star weekend), and can beat Manzo both of those races (or even in one of them), I believe he will be the 2003 NHRA tafc National Champion.

Wolfgang that scenerio can very well happen. I am sticking with Frank though to come out on top in 2003.

Bucky's strong no Doubt, but he'll need some East coast races to get around Manzo and the Newb!

Bucky is stout, but he will need to try to beat Manzo head to head.

Until otherwise, Manzo is the one to beat.
